This article was written in March of 2010 after the death of Dawn Brancheau. In class we recently talked about and watched the documentary "Blackfish". The whole documentary was about how non-humane SeaWorld was and how they kept the whales and stood up for their mistakes when injuring their trainers. These animals do snap and because of this, there's really no way for these animals to be "trained".
After being taken away form their families, forced into captivity, and training at weird times of the day can make any living thing break.

"While any loss of human life is regrettable, and there probably are ways to ensure an accident like this doesn't happen again, to blame Kilikum for this is ridiculous at best and short-sighted at worst."
