This article made me think about the Blackfish movie and how whales and sea creatures along with other creatures in general are being held captive away from their natural habitat. I know that some animals are endangered or have no home to even call home again, but is captivity really the answer? How do we as human beings even know what the best solution is to keeping animals captive? They have no voice so just assuming we're just the experts on their lifestyle is completely unfair. Then when
we get mauled, or attacked or die because they snap, what can we say to that? We are such an advanced race we should be able to figure out what we can do to better our planet in general.
"The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Fisheries Service has refused to grant an import permit for the whales, captured in the Sea of Okhotsk off the eastern coast of Russia, saying doing so would worsen the decline of the wild population from which they were taken."
